Performances of Next to Normal and Cuckoo's Nest Are Postponed

Dear Evergreen Playhouse Family:

We have been monitoring the COVID-19 situation every day, and met as a Board Sunday following Next to Normal. Today with great sadness we, the Board of the Evergreen Playhouse, have decided it is time to go dark for the time being. Yesterday was our last performance of Next to Normal on our scheduled run. We will NOT be cancelling the show, but instead postponing it. At this time we do not have new performance dates, but all ticket holders will be contacted as soon as we do. Existing ticket holders will be given the option to switch dates or receive a voucher for another production. One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest will also be postponed and performance dates moved to the end of summer as we follow Governor Inslee’s statewide emergency proclamation.

These decisions are difficult to make with so much information coming at us from a variety of sources, however, at this time the exponential growth of this virus is taking on magnitudes we can’t fathom. We would be remiss if we didn’t close down temporarily until the growth begins to slow in our country.

We have announced our upcoming 61st season at this production and we will still continue behind the scenes work as normal, so if you would like to purchase your season tickets at this season’s same great rates ($65 for Subscriptions or Flex), the page will be made public this week at evergreenplayhouse.com. You can purchase your season tickets, buy a seat for our seating campaign, or just make a donation to help our theater out. If you buy a seat at this time, you will receive a season ticket for our 61st season (we’ll be in touch with those patrons to discuss options).

As we continue to monitor COVID-19, we will keep you updated about our remaining 60th season. Thank you for understanding how difficult this decision is for us and for continuing to support the actors, casts, and crews of the Evergreen Playhouse.

Thank you again for understanding - stay safe, stay home, and if we can be of help to you, please contact us through our email at theevergreenplayhouse@gmail.com.

Sincerely,

Kris Garrett
